Age details

• Maximum age limit: 45 years as on 01-01-2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Eligibility criteria

• General requirement: A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act, 2019. Holders of Educational Qualification included in Part-II of the third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
• A postgraduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in Part-A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience as Lecturer/Registrar/Demonstrator/Resident after completing post-graduation in the concerned specialty in any recognized Medical College.
• M.S. (Surgery/ Gen. Surgery) or F.R.C.E. (Speciality) Board of Surgery (USA).
• For Dermatology: MD (Dermatology and Venereology) / MD (Medicine) with D.V.D.
