Age Details

Eligibility

• Candidates must possess an MBBS degree.
• Recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Applicants qualified under Part-II of the Third Schedule must satisfy the conditions under sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Desirable Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree or diploma included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The holders of qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should satisfy the conditions under sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Act.
• Postgraduate qualification from a recognized institution as mentioned in Appendix-A.
• Knowledge of the customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the state.

Application Fees

• General, General Physically Disabled, EWS (not BPL), Wards of Freedom Fighters, General Ex-Servicemen dependent categories in Himachal Pradesh and General Ex-Servicemen relieved from Defence Services: Rs 600
• Other States (including reserved categories of other states): Rs 600
• SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/ EWS categories in HP (UR-BPL etc.): Rs 150
• Ex-Servicemen of HP and Blind/Visually Impaired (HP): Nil
