Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years Age relaxation as per Himachal Pradesh government rules.

Educational Qualifications

• Music Teacher: MA Vocal/Instrumental (≥50%) + B.Ed (≥50%) + TET qualified + proficiency in Hindi & English
• Drawing Teacher: Option-1: 10+2 (50%) + 2-year Diploma in Art & Craft; Option-2: BA with Fine Arts/Visual Arts elective (50%); Option-3: MA Fine Arts/Visual Arts (≥55%)
• Sanskrit Teacher: MA Sanskrit (≥50%) + B.Ed (≥50%) + TET qualified + proficiency in Hindi & English
• Physical Education Teacher (Elementary): Option-1: +2 (50%) + 2-year D.P.Ed; Option-2: B.P.Ed (50%) or Graduation + Physical Education elective (50%); Ex-servicemen option; Additional 5% relaxation for sports participants
• History Teacher: MA History (≥50%) + B.Ed (≥50%) + TET qualified + proficiency in Hindi & English
• Hindi Teacher: MA Hindi (≥50%) + B.Ed (≥50%) + TET qualified + proficiency in Hindi & English
• Geography Teacher: MA Geography (≥50%) + B.Ed (≥50%) + TET qualified + proficiency in Hindi & English

General Requirements

• B.Ed (≥50%) from a recognized university
• TET qualified
• Proficiency in Hindi and English
• 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates of Himachal Pradesh

Application Fees

• All Candidates: Rs. 800 (Examination Fee + Processing Fee)
• Correction Fee during correction window: Rs. 100
• Fee is non-refundable.

Important Instructions

• Eligibility as of the closing date (15-05-2026) applies.
• Age as on 01-01-2026.
• Reserved category certificates must be valid on both closing date and the date of document verification.
• Only one application per post; multiple applications are liable to rejection.
• Register on the OTR portal before filling the online registration form.
• Correction window available for four days after closing date (Rs. 100 correction fee).
• Keep the mobile number and email active till the selection process is complete.
• PwBD/PwD candidates may request scribe/reader and compensatory time after prior approval.
• Exam/admit card details, results, and notifications will be published on the official website.
• Selected teachers are engaged on a temporary (5 years) scheme with fixed honorarium; not government employees; no regularization claims.
