Eligibility Details

Director - Legal (Code 2601)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law with minimum professional experience as specified by ICAI.

Executive Officer (Code 2602 - 2608)

• 2602: Chartered Accountant
• 2603: Bachelor’s Degree in Law
• 2604: Company Secretary
• 2605: Ph.D. in Sustainability
• 2606: Ph.D. in Economics
• 2607: B.E./B.Tech (Civil) or B.Arch
• 2608: B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT)

How to Apply

• Visit the official ICAI website and navigate to Career or use the direct Apply Online portal.
• Register, fill in personal and qualification details, select post codes (2601-2608), upload documents, and pay the application fee.
• Submit the form and print the acknowledgement for future reference.

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview for Executive Officer posts.
• CBT: 150 marks, 150 minutes; English medium; General Section (30 MCQs + 2 descriptive questions) and Technical Section (90 MCQs).
• Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong MCQ; no negative marking for descriptive questions.

Salary and Benefits

• Director (Legal): Pay Level 16, basic pay approx. ₹2,05,400-₹2,24,400 (roughly ₹54 LPA with allowances).
• Executive Officer posts: Pay Level 10, basic pay ₹56,100-₹1,77,500 (roughly ₹15.51 LPA with allowances).
