Age Limits

• Research Associate: 40 years for men; 45 years for women (upper age relaxations as per GoI rules).
• Senior Research Fellow: 35 years for men; 40 years for women (upper age relaxations as per GoI rules).

Eligibility Details

Research Associate

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Botany, or any relevant life sciences discipline with desirable experience, OR
• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Botany, or any relevant life sciences discipline.

Senior Research Fellow

• Master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or Microbiology with 4 or 5 years of Bachelor's degree (1st Division). Candidates having a graduate degree in basic sciences with a 3-year Bachelor’s and 2-year Master’s may also qualify if they have NET/GATE/ICAR-SRF (PhD entrance) qualification and 2 years of research experience.

• The recruitment is for temporary, unreserved positions and co-terminus with the project. The institute reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies.
• Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email and may be required to attend online or in-person interviews at the Division of Plant Physiology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
