Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 35 years as on the last date of application.
• Age relaxations as per government norms apply (see below under General Information).

Relaxations (as applicable):

• SC/ST: +5 years
• OBC: +3 years
• PwBD: +10 years (maximum age up to 56 years)
• PwBD + OBC: +13 years (maximum age up to 56 years)
• PwBD + SC/ST: +15 years (maximum age up to 56 years)

• Central Govt. Civilian Employees (General/OBC/SC-ST): specified relaxations as noted in the notification

For Scientist-B (Non-Medical)

• Educational Qualification: Masters from a recognised university in Biomedical Sciences.
• Desirable: Experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences, relevant to the job requirements.

For Scientist-B (Non-Medical IT/Computer Science)

• Educational Qualification: ME/M.Tech (Computer Science) or ME/M.Tech (CS)/MCA or equivalent; or 4-year BE/B.Tech or B.Sc. (Engineering) (Computer Science/IT) with Ph.D. in IT/CS from a recognised university.
• Desirable: Experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences.
• Job Requirement: NAM methodologies as an alternative to animals in Government/Public/Private Institutions.

For Scientist-B (Non-Medical Pharmacology)

• Educational Qualification: Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmacology) or Pharm-D recognised by UGC/PCI.
• Desirable: Experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences.
• Job Requirement: Pre-clinical/experimental pharmacology.

Application Fee

• The fee can be paid via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

• Transaction/Processing fee, if any, is payable to the bank by the candidate.

• Application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

General Information/Instructions

• All candidates must apply online through the official portal.
• No documents are required to be sent in physical form.
• Candidates working in Government/Semi-Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies must upload a No Objection Certificate.
• Original certificates/documents will be verified during document verification.
• Category certificates (OBC/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD) must be valid as per prescribed formats and validity periods.
• PwBD candidates must have a benchmark disability of 40% or more.
• Centre of Examination: Delhi/NCR and other ICMR institutes across the country, as required.
• Admit card will be available for download 5 days before the examination.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• The crucial date determines eligibility with respect to age.
• Educational qualification/experience must be completed on or before 01/03/2026.
