Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years
• Age relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years; EBC/BC - 3 years; Female candidates - 3 years

Eligibility Details

• Essential Qualification: MD or DNB in General Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Pediatrics
• Citizenship: Indian citizen
• Minimum Qualifying Criteria: UR - 50th percentile; BC/EBC/EWS - 45th percentile; SC/ST - 40th percentile

• Walk-in Interview Start Date: Every working Wednesday
• Interview Time: 10:00 AM (Document Verification), 12:00 Noon (Latest Report Time)
• Interview Duration: Till the vacancy is filled

Application Fee

• UR/EWS/BC candidates: Rs. 1000 (non-refundable)
• SC/ST/EBC candidates: Rs. 250 (non-refundable)
• Payment mode: Demand Draft payable to the Director, IGIMS, Patna

Other Instructions

• Reservation benefit applicable to Bihar State Domicile candidates only.
• Physically Handicapped candidates receive reservation benefits as per Government of Bihar rules.
• The appointment is on an ad hoc basis for 89 days or until full-time (3-year tenure) recruitment is completed.
• Stay on campus is compulsory; if accommodation is not provided, HRA is admissible.
• Private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Merit selection does not guarantee appointment; the final appointment decision rests with the Director.
• Candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government departments must submit NOC from their employer.
• Caste certificates and relevant documents must be attached as specified for SC/ST and EBC/BC categories.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• Prepare all required documents and original certificates for verification on the interview day.
• Report to State Cancer Institute, IGIMS, Patna by 12:00 Noon on the interview date.
• Document verification will be at Room No. 78; the interview will be conducted in the Chief’s chamber.
