Age Limit

• The age limit and eligibility will be considered as on the last date of online application (12-06-2026). Fresh appointment beyond 60 years is discouraged, except for exceptional cases in research/academic career. Relaxations as per government rules apply for Reserved categories.

Eligibility Details

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant/equivalent discipline from a recognized University/Institute with First Class in all preceding degrees (Bachelor’s onwards).
• Candidates who obtained their Ph.D. directly after B.E./B.Tech. are eligible, provided they meet the First Class requirement.

Experience (as applicable per post)

• Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 10): Ph.D. with First Class in preceding degrees; no mandatory post-Ph.D. experience.
• Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 12): Ph.D. + 3 years post-Ph.D. experience or 6 years total teaching/research experience; minimum 20 cumulative credit points.
• Associate Professor (Level 13A2): Ph.D. + 6 years post-Ph.D. experience (at least 3 years as Assistant Professor with AGP Rs. 8000) or 9 years total experience (with 50 cumulative credit points).
• Professor (Level 14A): Ph.D. + 10 years post-Ph.D. experience or 13 years total experience (with at least 3 years as Associate Professor with AGP Rs. 9500 or 4 years with AGP Rs. 9000) and 80 cumulative credit points.

Reservation & Category

• Posts are reserved for Backlog vacancies for SC, ST and OBC (NCL) categories as per Government rules; PwD reservations applicable as per Central Government Rules.

Application Fee

• OBC (NCL) candidates: Rs. 2,500
• SC/ST/SC-PwD/ST-PwD/OBC(NCL)-PwD candidates: Rs. 1,250
• Indian Nationals applying from abroad (SC/ST/OBC/NCL/PwD): Rs. 5,000
