  • Applicant should be an Indian national with a PhD or an equivalent doctorate (e.g., D.Sc.) from a recognized institute/university, with first class (at least a 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, in a relevant discipline.
  • CGPA/Percentage relaxation is as per GOI norms. Candidates with a PhD thesis submitted may also apply; if selected, a certificate of award of the PhD must be produced before joining the PDF program.
  • At least one degree from graduation onward or work experience on a regular pay scale/guest faculty should be from CFTIs (preferably IISc/IITs/IIITs/NITs/IIMs/ISI/IISERs) or a foreign university with QS rank ≤ 500.
