Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Biosciences and Bioengineering

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in an appropriate branch with a very good academic record. Must possess:
  • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree or a 5-year integrated Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Biochemical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Bioinformatics / Biosciences and Bioengineering, OR
  • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology, Agricultural Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences, OR
  • MBBS and BVSc, OR
  • A 5-year integrated M.Tech. in Engineering / Technology, OR
  • A 5-year integrated MS in Biological, Physical, Chemical, and Data Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, OR
  • 3 years B.Sc./B.S. followed by 2 years Masters in related fields.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Chemical Engineering

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in an appropriate branch with a very good academic record. Must possess Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Civil Engineering

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in all preceding degrees with a very good academic record. Must possess a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or a 5-year integrated Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Computer Science and Engineering

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree. Must possess a 4-year Bachelor's degree or a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree or a 5-year integrated Master’s degree in Computer Science / CSE or related areas.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Design

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent. Must possess a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or 2-year Master’s Degree or 5-year integrated Master’s degree in Design, Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Management, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Physiology (Ergonomics).

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Electronics and Electrical Engineering

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent. Must possess a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or a 5-year integrated Master’s degree in relevant fields.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Mechanical Engineering

• Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent. Must possess a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or a 5-year integrated Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Chemistry

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree or a 5-year integrated Master’s degree in Chemistry / Chemical Science and Technology.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Humanities and Social Science

• Ph.D. in the relevant areas with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree in an appropriate branch with a very good academic record.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Mathematics

• Ph.D. Degree in Data Science/ AI/ CS&E; M.Tech./M.S. in related fields; B.Tech./B.S. in related areas; Ph.D. in Mathematics/Statistics; and related combinations. (Detailed department-specific criteria are in the official notification.)

• Ph.D. in Physics with a strong academic record; Bachelor’s and Master’s or 5-year integrated Master’s in Physics / Applied Physics / Engineering Physics.

• Ph.D. in Management with a strong academic record.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

• Ph.D. in Engineering/Science with relevance to Data Science/AI and a strong academic record. Must have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or 5-year integrated Master’s in Data Science/AI/Mathematics/Statistics/CS & Engineering/related domains.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - School of Energy Science and Engineering

• Ph.D. with a strong academic record. Must possess a Bachelor's degree or a 5-year integrated Master’s in Energy Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Chemical Engineering.

Assistant Professor (Grade I/II) - Jyoti and Bhupat Mehta School of Health Sciences and Technology

• Ph.D. with a strong academic record. Must possess a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Biotechnology or 4-year BS/5-year integrated Master’s degree in Engineering, or related programs (Physics/Maths/Biology, etc.).
