IIT Guwahati Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 19 Junior Assistant and Assistant Registrar Posts

Age Limits

• Assistant Registrar: Up to 35 years (no upper age limit for regular IIT Guwahati employees).
• Junior Assistant: Up to 27 years (no upper age limit for regular IIT Guwahati employees).
• Relaxation of age as per GOI rules for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD/Ex-Serviceman.

Educational Qualifications

• Master's Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale.
• Desirable: 5 years of relevant administrative experience in educational administration or comparable exposure in a research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education in a Group B post in a supervisory capacity at least at pay level 8.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with knowledge of computer office applications.

Application Fees

• Assistant Registrar: ₹1000 (General/OBC-NCL).
• Junior Assistant: ₹500 (General/OBC-NCL).
• SC/ST, women applicants and PWBD applicants are exempt from payment of the application fee.

• SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against UR posts will not be eligible for age relaxation.
• Upload relevant caste, OBC(NCL)/EWS, and PWBD certificates from competent authorities as per Govt. of India norms (not older than one year from the closing date).
• PWBD applicants must upload disability certificates showing percentage of disability issued by the competent authority.
• The Institute reserves the right to screen, alter, or cancel any part of the recruitment process. All communications will be through the registered email and the Institute website.
• Regular Govt./PSU employees must upload NOC; if not available, an Undertaking must be provided.
