Eligibility Details

Essential Qualification

• PhD in Human Geography from a recognized university.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of research experience after PhD or equivalent project experience.
• Minimum 5 publications in peer‑reviewed journals relevant to environmental studies or human geography.

Desirable Skills

• Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative field research (interviews, FGDs, transect walks, participatory mapping, documentation of community practices).
• Expertise in GIS and Remote Sensing for analyzing land‑use change, drainage networks, canal systems, hydrological pathways, or ecological boundaries.
• Data analysis, report writing, academic manuscript preparation, and visual representation of research findings.
• Experience collaborating with government agencies, local institutions, and community groups on water, environment, or peri‑urban governance.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and field‑oriented research team.
