Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 35 years at the time of interview.
• Age relaxations as per GOI rules for SC/ST and OBC candidates, and an additional 2 years for candidates with relevant research/work experience.

Essential Qualification

• Master’s degree (M.Tech / M.Sc.) in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mining Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, etc.).
• GATE score is necessary in the relevant discipline.
• Minimum academic performance as per institute norms (usually 60% or equivalent CGPA).

Desirable Qualification

• Prior research/project experience.
• Exposure to data analysis, programming, AI/ML, GIS, or domain-specific tools.
• Programming: Python / R / MATLAB; experience with LLMs, document processing, text mining.
• Ability to prepare periodic progress reports and research papers/conference submissions.

• The fellowship is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, for a maximum period of 2 years, with possible extension based on project duration and performance.
