Age Details

• Assistant Professor: Preferably below 35 years, but not exceeding 40 years. Relaxations as per Government norms for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/WPwD; 3 years for women.
• Associate Professor: Preferably below 45 years with similar relaxations.

Eligibility Overview

• Assistant Professor Grade II (Gr II)

  • BE/B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering or related streams
  • Ph.D. in Metallurgy/Materials or related research area
  • Less than three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/research/teaching experience

• Assistant Professor Grade I (Gr I)

  • BE/B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering or related streams
  • Ph.D. in Metallurgy/Materials or related research area
  • At least three years of post-Ph.D. industrial/research/teaching experience

• Associate Professor

  • BE/B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering or related streams
  • Ph.D. in Metallurgy/Materials or related research area
  • At least six years of industrial/research/teaching experience (post-Ph.D.), including at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor Gr. I (Pay Level 12 in 7th CPC) or equivalent
  • Proven record of research guidance, publications, and sponsored projects
