Eligibility Details

• Postgraduate degree in Physical Sciences (Physics/Applied Physics/Meteorology/Oceanography/Climate Science/Geophysics with Meteorology/Environmental Sciences/Electronics or related subjects) OR Chemical Sciences (Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry/Organic Chemistry or related subjects) OR Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics or related subjects) OR M.Tech in Atmospheric/Oceanic Sciences or related subjects OR Master’s degree in Engineering
• AND Qualified in one of the following national-level examinations: CSIR-UGC NET / UGC NET / ICAR NET (Lecturership / Assistant Professorship) / GATE / JEST
• AND At least 55% aggregate marks for General and OBC (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in the Master’s degree
• AND Studied Physics AND Mathematics at the bachelor’s level
• Demonstrated programming skills (FORTRAN, C, Python) and experience with Linux/UNIX/Windows environments
