Age criteria (as on 01-01-2026)

• Steno: 18 to 27 years
• Tax Assistant: 18 to 27 years
• MTS: 18 to 25 years Relaxation: up to 5 years (10 years for SC/ST) where applicable

Stenographer Grade-II (Steno)

• Essential qualification: 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University

Tax Assistant (TA)

• Essential qualification: A degree from a recognized university or equivalent

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)

• Essential qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass

• Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only)

General Information / Instructions

• Only certificates awarded by the authorities listed in the notification will be considered as evidence of participation in sports events. Candidates must produce at least one such certificate along with the application.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Relaxation benefits are applicable only to those who satisfy all other eligibility conditions and furnish the prescribed certificate form from the authority mentioned in DoPT OM No. 1720781414772 dated 04.03.2024.
• Sports achievements/participation will be considered up to the date of notification (07-01-2026). Achievements after this date will not be considered.
• Any non-compliance may lead to rejection without notice. In case of a tie or other questions, the decision of the Pr.CCIT, Mumbai shall be final.
