Age Limit

• Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
• Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 27 years
• Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS): Not exceeding 30 years
• Senior Accounts Officer: Not exceeding 35 years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Eligibility Criteria

• Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
• Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS): Degree in Civil Engineering, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years of experience in Hydrographic/land survey, or SR I/II of the Indian Navy with 7 years of experience in Hydrography and navigation.
• Senior Accounts Officer: Degree from a recognized University with a professional qualification of passing the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or passing the final examination of the Institutes of Cost and Works Accountants, or the SAS Commercial examination of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. Candidates must also have 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in commercial accounts in the Finance or Accounts Department of the Central/State Government, Semi-Government organization, or a commercial organization of repute.

Application Fee

• For General (UR) / OBC (Creamy Layer & Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS: ₹500 (Five Hundred Rupees Only).
• For Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM): Exempted.

Selection Process

The progress of the selection process shall be updated on the IWAI website. No telephonic inquiries or emails will be entertained or replied to by IWAI. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website of IWAI, www.iwai.nic.in, for updated information.

Mere possession of essential qualifications will not entitle a candidate to be selected for the post. The decision of the Authority as to the eligibility of a candidate shall be final, and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

How to Apply

• Candidates must apply online through the website www.iwai.nic.in under the "Recruitment" section on the IWAI Home page, specifically "Apply online for Recruitment to the above posts in IWAI 2025."
• No other means or modes of application will be accepted. Applications received through any other mode will be summarily rejected.
• Only online applications, along with the prescribed application fee and soft copy of the required documents, submitted before the closing date, will be accepted.
• Incomplete applications and applications submitted without a photograph duly signed, proof of date of birth (School Certificate), relevant documents as per specification, or application fees will be summarily rejected.
• Detailed instructions for filling out the online application and online fee payment are available on the IWAI website. Candidates should read these instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options.
• Applications once submitted cannot be modified; therefore, utmost care should be taken to furnish the correct details before submitting the online application.
• Candidates are advised to submit the online application for only one post. However, if applications for more than one post are submitted by a candidate, the last submitted application, complete in all respects including fee payment, will be entertained. Fees paid against earlier applications will not be adjusted for any further application and cannot be refunded.
• After submitting the online applications, applicants are required to note down the generated Application Number and keep a printout of the submitted application.
• CLOSING DATE: The closing date for submission of online applications through the IWAI website www.iwai.nic.in is 2025-11-05 (23:55 Hrs.).
