JIPMER Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 34 Group A Non-Faculty Posts (GDMO, Specialist Grade II, Child Psychologist)

Age limits

• Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale): 40 years
• General Duty Medical Officer: 35 years
• Child Psychologist: 35 years Relaxations as per government norms are applicable for reserved categories and PwBD as detailed in the official notification.

Eligibility per post

Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale)

MBBS degree registered under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, with the relevant postgraduate qualification and post-PG experience as per the specialty:

• Anaesthesiology: M.D. in Anaesthesiology + 3 years post-PG experience
• Cardiology: D.M. in Cardiology; 1 year post-DM experience for 2-year or 5-year DM programs; no experience required for 3-year or 6-year DM
• Medicine: M.D. in Medicine + 3 years post-PG experience
• Nephrology: D.M. in Nephrology; 1 year post-DM experience for 2-year or 5-year DM; no experience for 3-year or 6-year DM
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology: M.D./M.S. in Obstetrics & Gynaecology + 3 years post-PG experience
• Orthopaedics: M.S. in Orthopaedics + 3 years post-PG experience
• Radio-Diagnosis: M.D. in Radio-Diagnosis + 3 years post-PG experience

General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO)

Medical qualification included in Schedule I or II or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, with 3 years of post-internship experience after completing the 1-year compulsory internship.

Child Psychologist

• M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
• Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) - Central Rehabilitation Register (CRR) is mandatory.

• Computer Based Test (CBT): 15 July 2026 (Wednesday)

Application fee

• UR / EWS: ₹1,500 + transaction charges
• OBC: ₹1,500 + transaction charges
• SC / ST: ₹1,200 + transaction charges
• PwBD: Exempted Note: Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications with separate fees for each post.

Other instructions

• Applications are online only. No hard copy submissions.
• GDMO post order of campus preference (Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam) must be indicated during application.
• Updates regarding CBT, interviews, and results will be published on the JIPMER website only.
• Candidates must bear their own travel and accommodation costs for verification/interview. No TA/DA will be paid.
• Prohibited items at the exam centre include mobile phones, calculators, digital watches, and other electronic devices.
• Jurisdiction for disputes lies with the Union Territory of Puducherry.
