Age Limit

Not exceeding 45 years as on the crucial date. Age relaxation as per government rules is applicable beyond the upper age limit for eligible categories.

Educational Qualifications

• Medical/Surgical Departments: An NMC/MCI-recognized postgraduate medical degree of MD/MS/DNB in the respective discipline from a recognized university/institute.
• Paediatrics (Clinical Genetics): MD Paediatrics/MD Obstetrics & Gynecology/MD Internal/General Medicine with experience in managing genetic disorders/prenatal genetic diagnostics during postgraduate studies (3 months).
• Pulmonary Medicine: DM in Pulmonary Medicine from a recognized university/institute.
• CTVS, Clinical Immunology, Neonatology: M.Ch./DM in the respective discipline from a recognized university/institute or equivalent.
• Dental Department: DCI-recognized postgraduate degree of MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) from a recognized university/institute.

Additional Instructions

• Reservation for PwBDs is 4% on a horizontal basis. The minimum degree of disability for reservation eligibility is 40%, to be assessed by the JIPMER Medical Board.
• Candidates must attach valid OBC certificates (issued in the current financial year) and valid EWS certificates with the application where applicable.
• All eligible applicants may be considered for seats under one reservation category; if no candidate is available in that category, seats may be offered to candidates from other categories, within the permissible limit.
