Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026)

• Open Merit (OM): Maximum 40 years (Born not before 01-01-1986)
• SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC-IB/EWS/OBC: Maximum 43 years (Born not before 01-01-1983)
• PwBD: Maximum 42 years (Born not before 01-01-1984)

Note: Ex-Servicemen may have a different age reckoning rule as applicable.

Post-wise Qualifications

• Draftsman (Civil): Two-year Draftsman Training Course Certificate/Diploma from a government-recognized institute.
• Sub-Inspector: Graduation from a recognized university.
• Junior Statistical Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with Economics/Statistics/Mathematics/Commerce/Computer Applications/Information Technology as an elective subject.
• Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant (MVTA): Minimum qualification of 10th pass with a two-year ITI Motor Mechanic Vehicle course and a driving license for Motor Cycle with Gear and Light Motor Vehicles.
• Junior Librarian: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university.
• Library Assistant: Graduate degree with a degree/diploma in Library Science.
• Depot Assistant: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.

Candidates must prove prescribed qualifications at Document Verification; equivalence certificates must be provided if required.

• Merit in Written/OMR Examination followed by Document Verification.

Eligibility and Residency

• Only candidates who are Migrants (SRO 412/2009) or Kashmiri Pandits (SRO 425/2017) and domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir are eligible.

Documents to Carry

• Domicile Certificate, qualification certificates, category certificate (if applicable), birth certificate, bonafide certificate (if required), Migrant/Kashmiri Pandit status certificate, and self-attested copies.

General Notes

• Submit online only; no hard copies required unless called for DV.
• Multiple applications for the same item may lead to cancellation.
• Keep a printout of the submitted form for DV; no corrections after final submission.
• In-service candidates must route through proper channel with relevant certificate.
• No TA/DA for examination or DV.
