Age Limits (as on 01-01-2025)

• Open Merit (OM): 18-40 years.
• Reserved categories (SC/ST/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC-IB/OBC/EWS/PwBD/etc.): up to 40-43 years depending on category, with specific upper age limits listed in the official notification.
• PwBD: up to 42 years.
• Ex-Servicemen: up to 48 years.

Qualifications by post

• Stock Assistant: Matriculation with Science subject from a recognized institution.
• Fisheries Development Assistant/Equivalent: BFSc or B.Sc. Medical (Zoology) or B.Sc. Industrial Fish & Fisheries.
• Deputy Inspector Fisheries/Equivalent: BFSc or B.Sc. Medical (Zoology) or B.Sc. Industrial Fish & Fisheries.
• Inspector Fisheries/Farm Manager/Equivalent: MFSc or MSc Fisheries Management or MSc Zoology with Ichthyology as a subject.
• Junior Supervisor/Sub Auditor: Graduation from a recognized university.
• Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer: Graduate from a recognized university.
• Assistant Handloom Training Officer (AHTO): Graduate from a recognized university.
• Works Supervisor: Matriculation with ITI in Building Construction or Carpentry; ITI certificates issued by JKBOTE or the Director General Trainings, Government of India.
• Supervisor (Social Welfare): Female graduate; preference for Home Science/Child Development/Sociology.
• Motor Vehicle Inspector: Degree or 3-year Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering; valid driving license.
• Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant: 10th pass with ITI in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (two-year course); valid driving license.
• Fitter/Greaser Washer/Mechanic: Matriculation with ITI in relevant trades.
• Stores Officer: Degree or 3-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
• Upholster: Matric pass with ITI in Upholster trade.

Essential Qualifications

• Valid educational qualification certificates from recognized institutes.
• Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority on/before the cut-off date (25.02.2026).
• Originals of relevant certificates to be produced as proof on/before the cut-off date.

Desirable

• For Supervisor (Social Welfare): Additional 5 points for candidates with Home Science, Child Development, or Sociology as a main subject throughout their course.

Application Fee

• General/Open Merit (OM): Rs. 600
• SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS, PwBD: Rs. 500

• Fee paid online via Net Banking, Credit or Debit cards.
• Applications without the prescribed fee will be rejected. Fees are non-refundable.

General Information and Instructions

• Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• The number of posts may increase or decrease during the selection process.
• Registered candidates will be assigned roll numbers for the written examination.
• Ensure the name and parents’ names match the Matriculation Certificate; changes post-submission are not allowed.
• Applications with blurred photographs or signatures will be rejected.
• Only one online application per post is allowed.
• Candidates seeking reservation must possess valid certificates by the cut-off date.
• Mobile phones and other electronic devices are prohibited during the examination.
• In-service candidates must submit the printout via proper channel.
• No TA/DA for examination or document verification.
• The Board’s decision on eligibility, admission, and results will be final.
