Educational Qualifications by Post

• Project Engineer (M&P): Full-time Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Production & Industrial Engineering/Automobile/Manufacturing/Mechatronic/Material Sciences/Metallurgical Engineering; minimum 1 year post-qualification experience. Preference for experience in repair and maintenance of machinery and plants.
• Project Engineer (Ele. Maintenance): Full-time Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related sub-streams; minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in electrical/mechanical fields. Preference for experience in power distribution/supply or repair/maintenance of electrical installations.
• Technician (Mechanical): ITI certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or related trades; minimum 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Technician (Electrical): ITI certificate from a recognized ITI/Technical Training Institute; minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in repair/maintenance of electrical systems.
• Yard Operations Supervisor: Graduation in any discipline; minimum 1 year post-qualification experience. Preference for yard operations/shunting exposure in railway siding/power plant/cement industry/port or similar.
• Shunting Operator: Minimum 10th pass; minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in yard operations/shunting in railway siding/power plant/cement industry/port or similar.

Age Criteria

The age limit is calculated as on 01 May 2026. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC (NCL) and 5 years for SC/ST candidates is applicable.

• Walk-In Interview Dates: 22 June 2026 (Project Engineer posts, Yard Operations Supervisor, Shunting Operator)
• 23 June 2026 (Technician posts)
• Venue: Administrative Building, Wagon Repair Workshop, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
• Registration Time: 09:00 to 12:00 hours on the interview day

Walk-In Interview Instructions

• Visit the official KRCL site to download Annexure-A and fill the application form if required.
• Carry duly filled application form with passport-size photograph, self-attested copies of certificates (age, qualification, experience, caste, etc.), and a character certificate from a Gazetted Officer/Executive Officer.
• Report to the venue within the registration window. Be prepared to stay for up to 2 days at your own cost if required.
• Selection will be through Walk-In Interview, with possible GD/written test and document verification as applicable.
• Carry all original documents for verification and produce them as required.

Documents to Carry

• Self-attested certificates of qualification as per notification annexure
• Date of birth proof (SSLC/SSC or birth certificate)
• Caste certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST format for Central Government employment)
• Service certificate for Ex-servicemen, if applicable
