PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

• Master’s Degree (minimum 50%) in the relevant subject
• B.Ed from a recognized university
• Hindi & English teaching proficiency
• Experience desirable

Subject-wise qualifications:

• English: Master’s in English
• Biology: Master’s in Life Sciences with Botany & Zoology at graduation
• Economics: Master’s in Economics/Applied/Business Economics
• Geography: Master’s in Geography
• History: Master’s in History
• Commerce: Master’s in Commerce + B.Ed
• Political Science: Master’s in Political Science

TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)

• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 50%) in subject + aggregate
• B.Ed required
• CTET (Paper-II) qualified

Subject-wise qualifications:

• English: English in all three years of graduation
• Social Science: History + Geography (compulsory) + any one (Eco/Pol Sci)
• Punjabi: Punjabi studied for 3 years / 6 semesters
• Vocational Trainer: As per KVS norms

TGT Special Educator

• Graduation (minimum 50%)
• B.Ed (Special Education) / B.Ed + Diploma in Special Education
• CTET (Elementary Stage)
• RCI registration (valid CRR number)

PRT (Primary Teacher)

• 12th (minimum 50%)
• D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / Diploma in Special Education
• CTET Paper-I qualified
• Basic computer knowledge (desirable)
