Eligibility Details

Essential Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant Social Science subject or Education/Teacher Education with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade). A 5% relaxation is provided for reserved categories.
• M.Ed. or Hindi Shiksha Nishnat or an equivalent degree with at least 55% marks from an NCTE/UGC-recognized institute.
• Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or an equivalent test like SLET/SET for North East Region, OR hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016.

Desirable

• Hindi as a subject at the graduate or postgraduate level (medium of instruction is Hindi).

General Eligibility

• Indian citizen.
• Permanent resident of Manipur (or parents/ancestors were permanent residents with proof).
• Ability to speak Manipuri, Meitei/Meetei Lon, or any tribal dialect of Manipur.

Important Instructions

• Applications must be submitted online only through the official online portal. No other mode is entertained.
• Candidates who are in service (Ad hoc/Contract/Guest Faculty/ part-time) must upload a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC) from their employer.
• Hard copies of the online application printout, Annexure-A, and all supporting documents must be submitted offline to the Secretary, MPSC by hand or speed post on or before 26 January 2026.
• The Commission’s decision regarding eligibility is final.

How to Apply
