Eligibility Details

Assistant Professor - Curriculum & Pedagogic Course (Manipuri, Chemistry, Economics)

• Postgraduate degree in the concerned Pedagogy Subject (Manipuri / Chemistry / Economics) with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized University/Institution.
• M.Ed. with 55% from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (or exemptions for Ph.D. holders as per regulations).
• For candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009, exemption from NET/SLET/SET is allowed subject to specified conditions (regular Ph.D. with thesis evaluated by external examiners, viva voce, publications, and presentations).
• NET/SLET/SET qualification shall be in the respective pedagogy subject (Manipuri/Chemistry/Economics) or Education; Ph.D. qualification shall be in the concerned pedagogy subject or Education/Teacher Education.

Assistant Professor - Perspective in Education or Foundation Course

• Option 1: Postgraduate degree in Social Science (Economics/Geography/History/Political Science) with 55% marks, and M.Ed. with 55% from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• OR Option 2: Postgraduate (M.A.) in Education with 55% marks, and B.Ed./B.El.Ed. with 55% from an NCTE-recognized institution (Desirable: B.Ed. in Secondary Education).
• NET/SLET/SET qualification shall be in Education; Ph.D. qualification shall be in Education or Teacher Education, with the same exemption rules as above.

Relaxation Clauses (Common)

• 5% relaxation at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently Abled.
• 5% relaxation (from 55% to 50%) in Master’s marks for Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their Master’s prior to 19 September 1991.
• A relevant grade equivalent to 55% at the Master’s level will be considered valid.
• Time taken to acquire M.Phil./Ph.D. shall not be counted as teaching/research experience.

General Eligibility Conditions

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Must be able to speak Manipuri, Meitei/Meetei or related dialects.
• Must be a permanent resident of Manipur; residents with documentary proof are also eligible.
• There is no upper age limit.

• Fee must be paid online only via the EMPSC online portal (net banking, VISA/MASTER Card, Debit Card).

• Applications submitted without the prescribed fee or via non-online mode will be rejected. Fee is non-refundable.

Other Instructions

• Applications are invited online for direct recruitment to 7 posts of Assistant Professors of D.M. College Teacher Education under the Higher Education Department, Manipur.
• Teaching/research experience: upload signed experience certificates and supporting documents in the Experience section during online application (Annexure-B).
• No Objection Certificates (NOC) must be uploaded for candidates in service/ad hoc/contract/guest/part-time.
• Ensure all documents match the Annexure-A categories; late submissions may not be accepted. If eligibility is not fulfilled at any stage, candidature may be canceled.
