Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant/concerned/allied discipline from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or possess a similar test approved by UGC (e.g., SLET/SET) or hold a Ph.D. degree (as per UGC regulations).
• For candidates registered for the Ph.D. program prior to 11 July 2009, exemptions from NET/SLET/SET may apply subject to fulfillment of specified conditions (regular Ph.D. mode, two external examiner evaluations, open Ph.D. viva voce, publications, and conference presentations).
• Urdu shall be the medium of instruction; knowledge of Urdu is mandatory as per university policy.
