MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 AIQ and State Schedule

Eligibility Details

• NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates who did not participate in Round 1 or who did not receive a seat in Round 1 are eligible to participate in Round 2.
• Candidates who participated in Round 1 but did not secure a seat may apply for Round 2.
• Candidates who chose the "Float" option in Round 1 may upgrade in Round 2; their Round 1 seat remains as a backup.
• Candidates who selected "Freeze" in Round 1 cannot register again for Round 2 and must join their allotted college.

• Seat matrix verification by institutes: 01-09-2026 to 02-09-2026
• Online registration and fee payment: 03-09-2026 to 08-09-2026 (registration up to 3:00 PM; fee payment up to 6:00 PM on 08-09-2026)
• Choice filling: 03-09-2026 to 09-09-2026
• Choice locking: 16:00 (4:00 PM), 08-09-2026 to morning of 09-09-2026
• Processing of seat allotment: 09-09-2026 to 10-09-2026
• Seat allotment result: 11-09-2026
• Reporting/joining at allotted institute: 12-09-2026 to 18-09-2026
• Institute verification of joined candidates: 19-09-2026

State Quota (Round 2) Schedule

• General window (2026): 03-09-2026 to 11-09-2026 (dates may vary by state)
• Joining/reporting deadline: 18-09-2026
• Verification of joined candidates by state authority: 19-09-2026

Application Fees

Key Instructions

• Freeze vs Float: Freeze means you forfeit participation in Round 2; Float keeps you eligible for Round 2 with the Round 1 seat as a backup.
• Seats allocated to states are not reverted to MCC after Round 2.
• Upgradation remains possible up to Round 3.
• Do not resign from AIQ/Deemed/Central seats after Round 3; no participation in further counselling after joining in Round 3.
• Report within the joining window to avoid forfeiture of the seat and the security deposit.

AIQ vs State Quota: At a Glance

• AIQ: 15% of government seats + 100% of Deemed/Central University seats (AFMC, AIIMS, JIPMER).
• State Quota: 85% of government seats; state-specific counselling administered by each state’s DME/counselling authority.
