Essential Qualifications by Post

Jr. Overman, T&S Gr-C

• Diploma in Mining Engineering (3 years) or Degree in Mining Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
• Valid Overman Competency Certificate (Un-Restricted) issued by DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for OC & UG Mines, or an equivalent certificate.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate.

Mining Sirdar, T&S Gr-C

• Senior Secondary School (10+2) or Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent as recognized by the Central Government.
• Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency (Un-Restricted) from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for OC & UG Mines, or an equivalent certificate.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate.

Surveyor, T&S Gr-B

• Senior Secondary School (10+2) or Diploma/Degree in Mining/ Mine Surveying Engineering or equivalent as recognized by the Central Government.
• Valid Survey Certificate of Competency (Un-Restricted) from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for OC & UG Mines.

Translator (Tr.) OL Clerical Gr. III

• B.A. or equivalent with Hindi & English.
• Govt. Diploma in Hindi Translation preferred.

Technician (Pathology) Tr. T&S Gr-C

• Diploma in Pathology from a Government-recognized Institute.

Application Fee

• General (UR) / OBC (Creamy & Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS: Rs. 1,000 plus GST Rs. 180 (total Rs. 1,180, non-refundable).
• SC / ST / PwBD / ESM / Female candidates and employees of Coal India Limited and subsidiaries: Exempt from payment.
• Fee paying is online only (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking). The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process and Instructions

• The selection will be through Computer Based Test (CBT) only. No interview will be conducted.
• Candidates will be shortlisted for CBT based on eligibility and declaration; CBT will have 100 objective questions (20 General Awareness/Aptitude; 80 Technical).
• No negative marking. Marks: General/EWS 45, OBC (NCL) 40, SC/ST 35.
• After CBT, merit will determine the shortlist for document verification in the ratio 1:3.
• Tie-breakers: Date of birth (older first), then name alphabetical order.
• Candidates must produce original certificates during document verification; No Objection Certificate may be required for current employers.
• Provisional select list will be published on the MCL website; appointment offers will follow the merit and reservation policy of Govt. of India.
• Upper age limit for non-departmental candidates is subject to government rules; departmental candidates may have no upper age limit.
• Ensure eligibility before applying; fee once paid is non-refundable.
