Age Relaxation and Limits

• Maximum age: 35 years (Unreserved)

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or B.E. Electrical and Electronics (EEE) through regular mode.
• From a UGC/AICTE-approved university.
• No ATKT in the final year or last two semesters.
• Minimum 55% average marks in the final year or last two semesters.
• Equivalent degrees as notified by UGC/AICTE are accepted; submission of an Equivalence Certificate from the university is mandatory in such cases.
• For applicants with graded results, a university certificate converting grades to percentage is required (no rounding).

How to Apply for GUVNL Vidyut Sahayak 2026

• Apply online only via the official MGVCL portal between 12 June 2026 and 02 July 2026.
• Before applying, indicate your order of preference for the five companies: MGVCL, DGVCL, UGVCL, PGVCL, GETCO (this preference is final).
• Register to obtain an application number, fill all required details, upload documents, pay the fee online, and submit. Save the confirmation for records.
• Hall tickets will be issued only after allotment and verification.

Rules on Posting and Transfer

• This recruitment uses centralized posting across companies.
• Preference submitted at application time is final and irrevocable.
• No inter-company transfer after appointment, except one additional opportunity within the 1-year validity of results.
• Local domicile quota and other conditions apply as per policy.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Not indicating company preference or leaving it blank.
• Assuming rounding of marks is allowed; no rounding off is permitted.
• Applying without Gujarat domicile when reserved category benefits are sought.
• Not checking ATKT status (disqualification for ATKT).
• Submitting incorrect caste certificates; only Gujarat state certificates are valid.
• Failing to complete the fee payment step.
• Missing No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed in Govt/PSU.
• Not monitoring mgvcl.com for hall tickets and updates.

Who Should NOT Apply

• Candidates with ATKT in final year/last two semesters.

Competition Level
