Educational Qualifications

Broad Speciality

Postgraduate qualifications MD/MS/DNB/MDS in the concerned subject from an institute recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), National Board of Examinations (NBE), or Dental Council of India are required for the following departments: Anaesthesiology, Dentistry, Dermatology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, FSM, Medicine, Microbiology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, O&G, Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, PM&R, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, SPM (Community Medicine), TB & Chest (Pulmonary Medicine), and Nuclear Medicine.

Special Cases

Anatomy: MS (Anatomy)/M.Sc (Medical Anatomy) with Ph.D in Medical Anatomy as per NMC requirements. Biochemistry: MD (Biochemistry)/M.Sc (Medical Biochemistry) with Ph.D in Medical Biochemistry. Physiology: MD (Physiology)/M.Sc (Medical Physiology) with Ph.D in Medical Physiology.

Super Specialty

MD/DNB in General Medicine for Medical Super Specialty departments (Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology). MS/DNB in General Surgery for Surgical Super Specialty departments (Plastic Surgery, CTVS, Neuro-Surgery, Urology, Paediatric Surgery). DM/M.Ch/DNB in the concerned super specialty subject preferred where applicable.

Weightage

Weightage will be given under MHRB Regulations for doctors with certain contractual engagements or Rule 17A eligibility.
