Eligibility per Post

Survey & Cataloguing Expert

• Master’s degree in Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Linguistics, Manuscriptology, or Master’s in History/Archaeology/Library & Information Science with Diploma/PG Diploma in Manuscriptology or Conservation
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manuscript survey, cataloguing, manuscript preservation, or transcription
• Knowledge of regional scripts and languages preferred

Conservation Expert

• Master’s Degree in Science (Chemistry at Graduation Level) or Master’s in Fine Arts/Visual Arts, or Master’s in Art Conservation/History/Archaeology/Museology or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manuscript preservation and conservation
• Demonstrated leadership ability and computer skills
• Formal training in Conservation of Manuscripts and Art objects from a reputed national institution (not less than six months)

Assistant Conservator

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Chemistry at Graduation Level) or Bachelor’s in Fine Arts/Visual Arts, or Bachelor’s in Art Conservation/History/Archaeology/Museology or equivalent

Script & Language Expert

• Master’s Degree in Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, History, Urdu, Persian or any listed language AND expertise in one or more scripts (e.g., Brahmi, Sarada, Grantha, Bengali, Odia, Telugu, Tamil, etc.)
• At least 5 years of experience in script reading, decoding, translation, editing, and editorial/documentation support
