Age Details

Minimum age: 18 years; Maximum age: 26 years as on the cut-off date 15-12-2025.

Age relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST candidates; 3 years for OBC candidates. PwBD candidates may receive age relaxation up to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and up to 13 years for OBC non-creamy layer).

Eligibility Details

Essential qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce from a recognized university/institute (full-time regular course) OR Diploma in Civil Engineering from an AICTE/state technical board-recognized diploma (full-time regular course).

Experience

• Apprenticeship training in industry as per the Apprenticeship Act, amended from time to time, or having job experience for one year or more. If the date of declaration of result is not mentioned in the mark sheet, the candidate must submit a certificate mentioning the date of publication of the result from the Principal of the college/institute.

Desirable

• Higher qualifications beyond the prescribed requirements will not be considered eligible for the notified positions.

General Information and Instructions

• The Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (as amended) and The Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended, apply for clarification.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending scrutiny or related processes.
• Apprenticeship Trainees are not to be absorbed as NCL employees in any case; no employment claims arise from this apprenticeship.
• Shortlisted candidates must submit a valid affidavit regarding Apprenticeship training in NCL (Annexure-4).
• Apprenticeship training payment will be in the form of stipend via Aadhaar-linked bank account as per the contract; follow any fresh instructions issued by the competent authority.
• Regularly check the NCL website (www.nclcil.in) for updates and further communications.
• Incomplete or late applications will be rejected without prior notice.
• Canvassing will lead to disqualification.
• Selection will be governed by the competent authority and may involve alternate modes of selection.
• Apprenticeship Trainees are not provided housing, meals, lodging, or transportation during training.

• First, register on the NATS online portal (https://portal.mhrdnats.gov.in/).
• After registration, use the Enrollment ID to apply against this notification on the NATS portal.
• Ensure a valid email ID and mobile number for future communications (Corrigendum/Addendum will be sent via email/SMS or the NCL website).
• Carefully verify all information before final submission. Print a copy of the submitted application for reference.
• Paper-based applications are not accepted. Use the Online portal as directed.
