Age Limit

• Maximum age: 56 years as on 1st January of the year of advertisement.
• Tenure: Not exceeding 3 years, extendable to 5 years or until superannuation.

Educational Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Sindhi Language/Literature OR Master’s Degree in Linguistics with excellent knowledge of Sindhi (minimum 55% marks).
• If not possessing a Ph.D.: Published research or literary work in Sindhi of recognized merit is required.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in Sindhi OR Ph.D. in Linguistics with knowledge of Sindhi.
• Good knowledge of one or more Indian languages besides Sindhi and knowledge of modern lexicography techniques is desirable.

Experience

• Administrative or teaching experience as Head of an academic institution or Head of Department in a college/university. (Refer to the official PDF for detailed grouping/service years required for contract/deputation/Ph.D. and non-Ph.D. variants.)

Nationality

• Open to Indian citizens as per official norms in the notification.
