Age Limits

• Minimum age: 15 years
• Maximum age: 24 years

Age relaxations as applicable to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen categories are provided in the official notification.

Educational Qualification

• For all trades except Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology/Radiology): Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks, plus National Trade Certificate (ITI) or Provisional NCVT/SCVT certificate in the notified trade.
• Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology/Radiology): 12th Class under 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with minimum 50% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12.

Note: The 50% aggregate requirement in Matriculation is not applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories. Candidates must possess the ITI pass certificate/NTC/STC as on the notification date (14-07-2026).

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS (male): ₹100 (non-refundable)
• SC/ST/PwBD/EBC: Exempted from fee
• Women candidates (all categories): Exempted from fee

Note: EBC applicants must have family income less than ₹50,000 per annum and upload a certificate issued on or after 01-04-2026. If modifying the online application after submission, a fee of ₹50 may be charged per occasion; registration details themselves cannot be modified.

Important Instructions

• Applicants may submit only one online application; multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.
• A Registration Number will be issued on submission and must be preserved for all future correspondence.
• Read the ITI/trade-specific vacancy details and unit-wise preferences carefully, as only one combination will be allotted based on merit and order of preference.
• Training under the Apprentices Act 1961 does not guarantee Railway employment. Up to 20% of vacancies may be filled by Course Completed Act Apprentices meeting eligibility conditions in certain cases.
• No daily/conveyance/travelling allowance will be paid for attending Document Verification.
• Be cautious of fraudulent elements promising selections; report such instances to the SDGM/NFR and local police.

Documents Required (during DV)

• Matriculation and ITI/National Trade Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) certificates and marks sheets
• Date of birth certificate, ITI semester marks, and candidate photograph/signature as per specifications
• Caste, EWS, PwBD, and other relevant certificates as applicable
• Discharge or serving certificate for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) quota

All certificates in languages other than English/Hindi must be accompanied by an English/Hindi translation. Originals must be produced at DV.
