Educational Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first-class at the preceding degree or equivalent, with a very good academic record. The candidate who has appeared for viva voce for the award of Ph.D. may also apply.
  • A minimum of two publications in reputed journals.
  • For contractual posts: candidates with Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and minimum first class or 60% at the preceding degree, along with two publications, will be considered for Assistant Professor (contractual).
  • For contractual posts: candidates with a Master’s degree with minimum first class or 60% at the Master’s level and qualified UGC NET or equivalent in the relevant field will be considered for Assistant Professor (Lower Remuneration, contractual).
  • If NET is not conducted in a subject, candidates with a Master’s degree with minimum first class or 60% at the master’s level in the relevant discipline and a good academic record may be considered for Lecturer (contractual).
  • For Lecturer (contractual), preference will be given to candidates pursuing Ph.D. from a recognized university.
  • If an applicant holds an interdisciplinary postgraduate degree and Ph.D., the highest degree will determine the specialization.

Instructions

  • Courses offered by autonomous institutions must be equivalent to those approved by AIU. Contractual appointments will be for eleven months or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.
  • A minimum of two research papers published in reputed journals shall be considered.
  • The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions or to fill/not fill any advertised positions.
  • All qualifications must be from a UGC-recognized or approved autonomous institution where applicable.
  • The contractual position may be terminated if the candidate is ineligible or fails to meet criteria.
  • Attendees must bring original certificates and one set of self-attested copies for verification.
