• Essential: MBBS from a recognized medical institution/university. Masters in Ophthalmology (M.S) / DNB in Ophthalmology or Diploma in Ophthalmology.

Desirable

• Competency in Small Incision Cataract Surgery/Phacoemulsification.
• Training in other sub-specialties (Cornea, Glaucoma, Medical Retina).
• Experience in Community Ophthalmology with involvement in community screening and eye health education.
