The National Investigation Agency (NIA) invites nominations for 30 Scientific posts on Deputation (ISTC) basis. Eligibility

Eligibility by Post

Technical Forensic Psychologist

  • Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Criminology or Clinical Psychology (regular course) from a recognized university
  • Essential Experience: 3 years in applied psychology or criminology / crime investigation

Finger Print Expert

  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in any science subject or M.Sc. in Forensic Science; OR B.Sc. with Chemistry as a subject
  • Essential Experience: 3 years in a laboratory setting focusing on fingerprint development and identification

Explosive Expert

  • Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with Chemistry as a subject at the B.Sc. level
  • Essential Experience: 5 years’ experience in examination of explosives and firearms

Cyber Forensic Examiner

  • Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Technology; OR Master’s in Computer Application/Computer Science/IT; OR M.Tech in CS/IT
  • Essential Experience: 3 years in digital investigation / computer forensics and cyber security

Crime Scene Assistant

  • Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Biotechnology / Analytical Chemistry / Physics / Forensic Science
  • Essential Experience: 3 years in crime scene processing

Common Deputation Eligibility (ISTC)

  • Officers must satisfy any one of the following: regular analog posts; 2 years’ service in Pay Band-2 with GP 4800 (Group-A) or 3 years’ service in Pay Band-2 with GP 4600; Crime Scene Assistant requires 5 years’ service with GP 4200
  • Maximum age limit: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications
  • Deputation period ordinarily not exceeding 3 years
