Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025)

• Up to 50 years (relaxable up to 5 years for government servants and employees of autonomous institutions under the government.)

Professor (Epidemiology) - Medical

• Essential: Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule (or Part II of the third schedule) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Part II qualifications must also fulfil section 13(3) of the IMC Act.
• MD (CHA)/MD (PSM)/MD (Community Medicine) or DNB (SPM) recognized by NMC.
• At least eight years of post-PG teaching experience in a recognized medical college/institution, including three years as Associate Professor.
• At least four original research publications (including two as Associate Professor) in indexed journals.
• Basic course in Medical Education Technology and Basic course in Biomedical Research as prescribed by NMC.
• Desirable: Three years of administrative experience and experience in health and family welfare, epidemiological studies, or surveys.

Reader (Community Health Administration)

• Essential: Medical qualification per IMC Act; Part II qualifications must meet section 13(3) of IMC Act.
• Post-graduate degree such as MD (CHA)/MD (PSM)/MD (Community Medicine) or equivalent.
• Five years of teaching experience as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in a medical college or recognized institute.
• Evidence of high-quality publications in the last five years.
• Desirable: One year of administrative experience.

Application Fee

• Professor (Epidemiology): Rs. 500
• No fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Physically Handicapped (PH), female candidates, and Institute’s candidates.

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.

• The crucial date for determining age is 01/07/2025.
• Incomplete or late applications will be rejected. The Institute reserves the right not to fill up the post or cancel the advertisement.
• Government/PSU/autonomous body employees must apply through proper channel and submit NOC at document verification/final selection.
• Original degrees/certificates/proofs of date of birth must be produced at interview/final selection.
• Applicants shall appear for the interview at their own expense.
• Period of working experience will be counted after acquiring the essential qualification.
