NII Stores Purchase Officer Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online

Age Details

• Direct Recruitment: Not more than 40 years as on 20 January 2026.
• Deputation: Not exceeding 56 years as on the last date for receipt of applications.
• There is no upper age limit for Officers/Staff members already working on a regular basis in the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria

Deputation

• Graduate qualification in any discipline with experience in Administration, Accounts, House-Keeping, Establishment matters, etc.
• Officers of Central/State Government, Semi-Government Organizations, Universities, Research Institutions, Autonomous Bodies, PSUs holding analogous posts or lower posts in Level-10 (PB-3, GP Rs. 5400 pre-revised) with at least five years of service OR in Level-7 (PB-2, GP Rs. 4600 pre-revised) for at least seven years OR in Level-8 (PB-2, GP Rs. 4800 pre-revised) and Level-10 (PB-3, GP Rs. 5400 pre-revised) with a total of 6 years service.

Direct Recruitment

• Graduate, preferably with a post-graduate diploma in Materials Management, training in secretariat work, or possession of UPSC Section Officers/Stenographer/Private Secretary/Stores Purchase Officer qualifications.
• Experience: at least five years in Level-10 (PB-3, GP Rs. 5400 pre-revised) OR seven years in Level-7 (PB-2, GP Rs. 4600 pre-revised) OR four years in Level-8 (PB-2, GP Rs. 4800 pre-revised) and four years in Level-10 (PB-3, GP Rs. 5400 pre-revised), with a total of 8 years’ experience in stores and accounting in stores work in a government office or a public body.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Government Rules & Regulations and Computer Applications/Management Information System.

General

• All educational and professional qualifications must be from a recognized Board/University.

• Date of interview: To be notified on nii.res.in (two weeks prior to interview)

Application Fee

• Direct Recruitment: Rs. 500 (non-refundable). Paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
• Exemptions: Women, SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-servicemen candidates are exempt from payment of the application fee according to Government of India rules.
• Note: Fee paid by candidates who have not submitted their application or whose applications are rejected will not be refunded.

General Instructions

• Only online applications will be accepted.
• The Institute reserves the right to withdraw or modify the advertisement at any stage.
• Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria by 20-01-2026; those awaiting results on that date are not eligible.
• Deputation duration may not exceed 5 years, including prior deputation in another ex-cadre post.
• Self-attested documents must be enclosed with deputation applications.
• Departmental candidates in the feeder cadre may not be eligible for deputation.
• Original photo ID proof and recent passport-size photograph are required to appear for the interview.
• Nationality: Indian.
