JRF Eligibility by Specialization

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): M.Tech in Civil Engineering / Water Resources Engineering / Hydrology / Remote Sensing & GIS or equivalent / M.Tech in Climate/Atmospheric Science or equivalent with strong knowledge of hydrological modelling, watershed analysis, remote sensing, and spatial data analytics, handling geospatial and hydro-m meteorological datasets, flood modelling, hazard zonation, or climate-related disaster assessment studies.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Master’s in Statistics / Applied Mathematics / Mathematics / Mathematics & Computing / Data Analytics / Decision Sciences with strong programming skills in Python/R and knowledge of Machine Learning and Time Series Analysis.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Master’s in Economics or related fields such as Rural Economics, Demography, Development Studies, Econometrics, Applied or Development Economics, or Business Economics, with strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency in STATA, R, Python, or SPSS and demonstrated experience in data management are essential.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Master’s in Management, with strong skills in project coordination, data management, monitoring and evaluation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in supporting research projects and handling project-related data.
