Age Details

• General age limit: Below 60 years as on the last date of online application.
• Preference: Candidates within 35 years may be preferred for entry-level positions (Assistant Professor Level 10 and 12).
• Relaxations: Age relaxation as per GoI norms for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD is applicable.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Engineering Disciplines: B.E./B.Tech (or equivalent) and M.E./M.Tech (or equivalent) with Ph.D. in the relevant/ equivalent discipline with first class in the preceding degrees. Direct Ph.D. with first class in the preceding degree will also be considered.
• Architecture Department: B.Arch. or equivalent and M.Arch./M.Plan. or equivalent. Additional qualifications may be considered without credit-point requirements at the Assistant Professor level as specified in the Schedule ‘E’ of NIT Statutes.
• Non-Engineering Departments: Ph.D. in the relevant/ equivalent discipline with first class in preceding degrees.

Desirable Qualifications

• For Professors (Level 14A): Strong publications in SCI/SCIE/SSCI, externally funded research, and supervision of Ph.D. students.
• For Associate Professors (Level 13A2): Published research, ongoing externally funded projects, and Ph.D. supervision where applicable.
• For Assistant Professors (Levels 12 and 10): Publications in SCI/SCIE/SSCI journals and relevant teaching/research credentials.

Experience

• Experience as per Government of India clarifications and MoE norms, with specific considerations for central and state institutions as outlined in the document.
• Administrative experience and other credit-point requirements as per Schedule ‘E’ of NIT Statutes.

• Applications must be submitted online through the official portal (nitrr.ac.in). Hard copies submitted by post will be accepted only if accompanied by the online application printout and required documents.
• Separate applications must be submitted for each post/discipline. Enclosures must include all relevant supporting documents and fee receipts.
• The Institute reserves the right to modify or cancel the advertisement or recruitment process at any stage without prior notice.

• Shortlisting criteria may differ across departments. The Institute may set higher norms than the minimum requirements.
