NIT Tiruchirappalli Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for Junior Assistant and Senior Assistant Posts

Age Details

• Junior Assistant: 27 years (relaxation as per Central Government rules for departmental candidates).
• Senior Assistant: 33 years. *Age admissibility is calculated as on the last date of online submission (30-01-2026). Relaxations as per government norms apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen and departmental candidates as specified in the notification.

Junior Assistant

• Essential: Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board.
• Typing: 35 words per minute.
• Proficiency in Word Processing and Spreadsheet.

Senior Assistant

• Essential qualifications as per Recruitment Rules (2019) for Non-teaching staff in NITs.
• Desirable qualifications as per the recruitment rules.

Notes: All eligibility criteria are in line with Recruitment Rules (2019) for Non-teaching staff in NITs and subsequent amendments.

Application Fees

• UR, EWS, OBC (Non-creamy layer) & Ex-servicemen: Rs. 1,000 (Rs. 500 refundable to Ex-servicemen after appearing in the Selection Process).
• SC/ST/Women: Rs. 500.
• PwBD candidates: Exempted from the application fee.
• Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances (except the refund to Ex-servicemen as stated).
