Age Limits

• Junior Overman (Trainee) - S1 Grade: UR 30, OBC-NCL 33, SC 35, ST 30
• Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) - SG1 Grade: UR 30, OBC-NCL 33, SC 35, ST 35

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• Maximum age limit overall cannot exceed 58 years

Junior Overman (Trainee) - S1 Grade

• Diploma in Mining or Mining Engineering or an equivalent approved qualification
• Valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• SSLC/10th Standard/Matriculation as proof of Hindi medium study
• Minimum 60% marks (Aggregate) for UR/OBC-NCL, 50% for SC/ST

Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) - SG1 Grade

• Diploma or Degree in any subject (non-Mining Engineering) + Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency (DGMS) + Valid First Aid Certificate
• OR Diploma in Mining with Overman Competency Certificate + Valid First Aid Certificate
• SSLC/10th Standard/Matriculation as proof of Hindi medium study

• UR/OBC (NCL) - Mining Sirdar: Rs. 486 (Application Fee Rs. 250 + Processing Fee Rs. 236)
• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen - Mining Sirdar: Rs. 236 (Processing Fee only)
