Age limits

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 38 years for most posts
• Age relaxations as per government norms (SC/ST up to 5 years, OBC up to 3 years, PWD up to 10 years, Ex-Servicemen as per rules, and other relaxations as applicable)

Educational qualifications by post

• Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Assistant Commissioner: Graduate degree and knowledge of Marathi
• Municipal Deputy Secretary: Graduate degree with law qualification or legal experience
• Assistant Law Officer: Graduate with LLB and Marathi language knowledge
• Biomedical Engineer: Degree in Biomedical Engineering
• Surgeon/ Gynecologist/ Medical Specialists: MBBS with relevant post-graduate qualifications
• Other Group A, B & C posts: as per post requirements

General requirements

• Recognized educational qualifications as specified for each post
• Knowledge of Marathi is essential for most administrative posts
• Valid professional registrations where applicable (medical posts)
• Computer proficiency and typing skills for clerical posts

Important dates

• Notification Release Date: 20-12-2025
• Online Application Start Date (Group A - Health Cadre): 20-01-2026
• Extended Online Application Last Date: 15-04-2026 (up to 11:55 PM)
• Exam Fee Payment Last Date: 15-04-2026 (same as application closing date)
• Exam Date: Will be notified on the official website 7 days before the exam
• Admit Card Release Date: Will be available on the NMMC website

Application fee

• General/OBC/Other categories: Rs. 1,000
• SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 900

• The fee must be paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI. The fee is non-refundable once paid.
