Age Criteria

• The minimum age across posts is 28 years and the maximum age varies up to 45 years depending on the post, with relaxations as per applicable rules.

Eligibility Details

Marine Engineer

• MOTI Class Motor Certificate under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.

Deputy Marine Engineer

• MOT II Class Motor Certificate under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
• Two years of experience as an independent watch-keeping engineer on a foreign-going ship.

Deputy Director (EDP)

• Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science from a recognized university, OR
• Degree in Maths/Statistics/Operational Research/Economics with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications/Computer Science/Information Technology, OR
• Degree in Engineering with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications/Computer Science/Information Technology. Five years of programming/EDP/system design experience.

Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil)

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution. Two years’ experience in planning/construction/design/maintenance, preferably of port and marine structures.

Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical)

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Two years’ experience in the relevant discipline.

Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical)

• Degree in Electrical Engineering. Two years’ experience in the relevant discipline.

Accounts Officer Grade I

• Member of ICAI or ICWAI. Two years’ experience in finance or accounting.

Assistant Secretary Grade I

• Any recognised university degree. Two years’ experience in general administration, personnel, industrial relations, etc.

Assistant Engineer (Civil)

• Degree in Civil Engineering. Two years’ experience in design/construction/maintenance of civil works.

Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

• Degree in Electrical Engineering. Two years’ experience in electrical works.

Personal Secretary to Deputy Chairman / Personal Assistant to Head of Department

• Degree in any discipline. Shorthand and typing speeds of 120 wpm and 40 wpm respectively. Ten years’ stenographic experience.

Assistant Accounts Officer

• ICAI/ICWAI membership.

Junior Director

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Information Technology or Master’s in Computer Application/Computer Science/Information Technology. Two years’ programming/system design experience.

Master Gr. II

• Inland Master 1st class certificate; 12 months’ Inland Master experience.
