Age Limit

The upper age limit is calculated as on 28-06-2026 with relaxations as per government rules. The maximum permissible age after all relaxations is 54 years. Specific age relaxations apply to different categories as per GOI guidelines.

Eligibility Details

• Deputy Chief Chemist (CHEM-01): Postgraduate degree in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks; relevant post-qualification experience in chemist roles in drilling/related fields (minimum 9 years).
• Deputy Chief Geologist (GEO-02): Postgraduate degree in Geology/Applied Geology with minimum 60% marks; 9 years of Geologist-level experience.
• Deputy Chief Engineer (Reservoir) (RES-03): B.E./B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering (min. 65% marks) or M.Tech/M.E in Petroleum Engineering (min. 60% marks) along with B.E./B.Tech in any engineering discipline; 9 years of relevant experience.
• Deputy Chief Geophysicist (GEOP-04): Postgraduate degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics (min. 60% marks); 9 years of relevant experience.
• Deputy Chief Engineer (S&E) (S&E-05): B.E./B.Tech in Fire & Safety Engineering (min. 65%) or relevant Master’s/Diploma in Industrial Safety or HSE (min. 60%), with 9 years of experience.
• Economist (ECO-06): Postgraduate degree in Economics or Business Economics (min. 60%); 9 years of relevant experience (Grade D). Grade E requires 13 years; Grade F requires 17 years of relevant experience.
