Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 42 years

Age Relaxation (as applicable)

• SEBC/SC/ST: up to 5 years (except PwBD)
• Women: up to 5 years
• Ex-Servicemen: up to 5 years
• PwBD: up to 10 years (up to 15 years for PwBD belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories cumulatively)

Note: A candidate can avail only one eligible age-relaxation benefit; PwBD catego­ries have a cumulative 15-year relaxation advantage in certain cases.

Educational Qualifications

• Must possess a BDS or equivalent degree from a medical college/institution recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
• Must hold a valid Registration Certificate under the Dentist Act, 1948.
• Candidates with degrees from foreign universities must possess conversion certificates recognized by DCI.

Additional Requirements

• Housemanship/Internship Completion Certificate.
• Screening test certificate (for foreign degree holders).
• Odia language test pass certificate, or must pass the Odia examination within 4 years of joining service.

Odia Language Requirement

Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and must meet at least one of the following:

• Passed Middle School Odia as a language subject; or
• Passed Matriculation or equivalent with Odia as a medium of examination in a non-language subject; or
• Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above; or
• Passed an Odia test in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.

Proviso: If Odia language requirements are not met at joining, the candidate must pass the Odia examination within 4 years of joining service; otherwise, no further increments or promotions to Group-A will be allowed.
