OPSC Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Recruitment 2026 - 436 Backlog Vacancies (Apply Online)

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)

• A candidate must be at least 21 years old and not older than 47 years.
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD) belonging to SEBC/SC/ST with 40% or more disability receive an additional 10-year relaxation.
• Only one relaxation benefit is allowed per candidate, whichever is most beneficial.

Educational Qualification

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) or an equivalent degree from a recognized university or institution, in India or abroad.
• Possess required conversion certificates recognized by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) if the degree is from a foreign university.
• Hold a valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970 (Section 21), and must register under this Act on or before the last date of submission of the online application form.

• Conversion certificates and registration requirements may apply as per the regulations governing veterinary practice in Odisha and India.

• Closing Date for Online Application Submission: 24.08.2026, 5:00 PM
• Written Examination Date: 26.09.2026
• Provisional Answer Key: within 10 days after written examination

Application Fee

• Rs. 700 for candidates not belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories (fee is refundable to those who actually appear for the Written Examination).
• No examination fee for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
• Fees are paid online during the application submission.

• Ensure required documents are ready for upload and verification during application.
• After submission, print the application and keep proof of submission for future reference.
