Age Limit

As on 01-02-2026

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 32 years

Relaxations

• SC/ST/SEBC: up to 5 years
• Women: up to 5 years
• PwBD: up to 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen (OA Grade-III): actual service period deducted
• Outsourced contractual candidates with 1 year service in OPTCL/GRIDCO: up to 5 years (plus other relaxations)
• Outsourced contractual candidates for OA Grade-III with 1 year service: upper age limit extended to 45 years

A person can avail only one upper-age relaxation (except PwBD). PwBD for OA Grade-III may receive cumulative relaxation. No relaxation for SC/ST/SEBC against UR vacancies.

Eligibility Details

Posts and Essential Qualifications

• Management Trainee (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks OR Section A & B of IE(I) in Civil Engineering with minimum 50% marks. SC/ST: minimum 50% marks.
• Management Trainee (Law): Degree in Law from a recognized institution.
• Junior Management Trainee (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks. SC/ST: minimum 50% marks.
• Office Assistant Grade-III Trainee: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 60% marks. SC/ST/PwBD: minimum 50% marks.

Additional Requirements

• Read and write Odia.
• Working knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to type, edit, print, and store documents.

Notes

• Degrees/diplomas from Open Universities (except IGNOU), distance learning, part-time, or sandwich courses shall not be considered.
• Higher qualifications not related to the job shall not be considered for Office Assistant Grade-III Trainee.

• UR and SEBC candidates: ₹1,180 (₹1,000 + ₹180 GST)
• SC/ST/PwBD candidates (Odisha only): ₹590 (₹500 + ₹90 GST)
• OPTCL Departmental candidates: Exempted
