The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the official MBBS seat matrix for the 2026-27 academic year. The matrix, prepared by the Medical Assessment & Rating Board (MARB), shows the total approved MBBS intake across government and private medical colleges in India (excluding Institutes of National Importance such as AIIMS and JIPMER) and will form the basis for NEET UG 2026 counselling.
